平沙村位于凤埔乡南部，是乡内第二大行政村。村子南面与凤都镇桃溪村相接，东侧靠近翠屏湖北端，距乡政府约1.5公里，距古田县城约15公里。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名取自村落所在的黄土岗状山丘。1949年初属平湖区，1953年改属凤埔区的平沙乡；1958年改称平湖公社平沙大队，1963年划归凤埔公社，1984年设为凤埔乡平沙村委会。[1]
人口民族[edit]
村下辖3个自然村，据博雅地名网，全村有775户2800余人（未注年份），党员87人。[1]
经济[edit]
村里以食用菌和水果为主要产业。食用菌品种较多，如香菇、猴头菇、金针菇等；城郊山坡上栽有3000多亩水果，主要是油柰、芙蓉李和水蜜桃，产出面向省内外市场。[1]
文化[edit]
2021年11月，省爱卫办确认平沙村为卫生村（2021年度）。2025年11月，本村被确定为福建省2025年度省级「一村一品」专业村（丑耳）。[1]
