山里村位于古田县东部，距大甲镇政府约4.5公里，是一个典型的山区农业村，以种植水稻、蔬菜和食用菌以及畜牧养殖为主。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

村子四面盘山，故称山里。[1]

第二次国内革命战争时期，叶飞、陈挺曾到村中开辟红军游击区，山里村因此成为革命老苏区的重点村。[2]

1935年8月，中共古田县第一区委员会在山里村建立，由陈步田任书记，隶属中共宁屏古中心县委。该区委与中心县委都在1937年停止活动。[1][3]

村中的贫农团为区委的地下活动出力，为红军递送信件、探听敌情。1936年至1937年间，贫农团还协助红军开展民团的策反工作，并动员村民参加红军。[2]

村子先属杉洋区（1949年），后归大甲公社山里大队（1963年）；1984年改设大甲乡山里村委会。[1]
