长湖村位于水门畲族乡西北部，与崇儒畲族乡相邻，离镇区20公里。全村辖4个自然村，有127户608人，其中畲族381人[1]。村名取自所属长坑、湖头两个村名的首字[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

1958年先设长湖生产大队；1984年政社分开，大队改称长湖村，并组建村民委员会[2]。
