水门畲族乡是福建省宁德市霞浦县东北部的一个乡，下辖23个行政村，区域面积约149.59平方千米，乡民中畲族居多[1][2][3]。乡内的观音亭寨是明代始建的古寨，为全国重点文物保护单位[5][6]。

历史沿革[edit]

宋时乡境属劝儒乡，其中分为擢秀、柘阳两里[1]。自元代到清末，此地划归几个「都」管辖，包括二都、三都、四都与二十八都[2]。民国时期，1936年改隶第二区[2]。新中国成立后建制几经变动：1958年设公社，1961年改为区，1966年又恢复公社[2]。1984年改设水门乡，次年定名为水门畲族乡[1][2]。

乡名最初写作石门坑，因屡次遭火灾而改称水门，取以水克火之意；乡内村民以畲族为多[2]。

2024年1月，乡获命名为「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」[2]。2026年1月，乡被确定为「福建省2026年度乡村振兴示范乡镇」[2]。

地理环境[edit]

乡境在霞浦县东北部，东边挨着牙城镇，东南面为三沙镇，西侧和西南侧同柏洋乡、崇儒畲族乡、松港街道为邻，北边则与福鼎市相连[1][3]。从乡政府到县城相距11.2千米，省道沙吕段穿境而过[1][2]。

人口民族[edit]

2019年末，户籍登记在乡内的人口共21325人[1]。第七次全国人口普查时，乡常住人口不足1万人，全县15个乡镇（街道）中与崇儒畲族乡、柏洋乡、海岛乡同属此档；与2010年第六次普查相比，乡常住人口有所减少[4]。

经济[edit]

农业以水稻和薯类为主，兼产茶叶、杉木和杂木[2]。

名胜古迹[edit]

观音亭寨坐落在半岭村东侧约300米处，又称官路亭、半岭亭，明洪武二年（1369年）已有此建筑[5][6]。寨墙顺着山势伸向东北，现存残墙118米长[5]。

1986年，此寨由霞浦县人民政府列为县级文物保护单位；2013年3月5日，又被公布为第七批全国重点文物保护单位[5][6]。维基百科称，在霞浦县境内，它是目前唯一的国家级文物保护单位[6]。
