百度百科载，1958年设花竹生产大队，1984年更名为花竹村。[2]

博雅地名网称花竹村属贫困村。村内建有村级组织活动场所、会议室、凉亭和路灯，并整治了道路绿化。村利用自然条件发展旅游与紫菜养殖。[1]
