二坑村在镇的北部，濒临牙城港，离县城有27公里，下辖塘钓、孝井、大湾、二坑4个自然村。村已整村搬迁至东山村的二坑新村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村的建村时间可追溯到明朝后期，由浙南畲族人迁到闽东开发时定居于此，距今约400年。村名定为二坑后，居民繁衍生息于此。[2]
1992年，村被省民委和省计生委核定为畲族少数民族行政村。从1994年全省实施造福工程起，村民分批搬迁，2008年至2015年间迁入东山村的安置点及其他地点。[2]
地理环境[edit]
村位于东湖山和大湖山北麓的山腰间，村前可见牙城港的潮起潮落。村内森林覆盖率约65%，集体生态林4000多亩，另有滩涂1200亩。[2]
