赤岸村是霞浦县松港街道下辖的行政村，位于霞浦县城东北面，属县城郊区结合部。村名因海岸山石呈赤红色而得名。唐贞元年间，日本高僧空海在这里登陆，此后赤岸成为日本真言宗信徒心中的圣地。[1][2][3]

地名[edit]

村名来自海岸山石的赤红颜色，古时这里是重要的海港。霞浦历史学者游寿也称它为“赤壁红岸”。[1][2]

历史[edit]

唐贞元二十年（804年），日本高僧空海乘船入唐求法，途中遇台风，在海上漂流三十四天后于赤岸登陆获救。此后他赴西安青龙寺拜惠果为师，学习真言密教。[2]

唐代这里出过刺史林嵩，据载他的乡里后来被赐名为劝儒乡擢秀里。[2]

1981年，学者游寿曾多次到赤岸考察唐宋文物。1984年，日本真言宗信徒在此建成空海纪念堂，纪念堂现为省级旅游点。[2]

地理与行政[edit]

村中面积约528公顷，山地与平原各占一半，南部为平原，北部为山地。全村下辖九个自然村。[1]

村中户籍常住户930户，共2886人，分为17个生产小组。库区移民有330多人，畲族人口则超过三百六十人。[2]

名胜[edit]

赤岸景区为国家2A级旅游景区，景区中有祭海亭、望海亭、空海登陆纪念碑和赤岸文物室。村内还有城堡遗址、王右军遗址、桂枝亭和留耕堂等古迹。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办授予赤岸村2021年福建省卫生村称号。[1]

2026年1月，省里将赤岸村列为2026年度乡村振兴示范村之一。[1]
