历史沿革[edit]
村边岸上有一片褐色山头，村因而叫赤岸。[1]1998年设赤岸村委会；此前1989年曾为管理区，1987年3月称村委会，1984年同沙桥合成沙桥乡，1966年是大队。[1]铁涌的「赤岸牌」蚝及蚝豉销往港澳。[2]
