向阳里村位于镇区西南约1.3千米，104国道西侧。村名原称可坑里，后来雅称向阳里。「阳」指山的南面，意思是村庄建在山的南边。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1958年组建大队，1984年改设村委会。全村共10个自然村，村委会驻岭脚厝，此外还有桥头厝和当中厝。水尾楼和南阳楼排在前面，寨门冈与水尾坑是另外两处。上半岭和下半岭，再加上二箩。[1]
民族与产业[edit]
村民中有畲族，村为畲族村。村里有石材加工企业，村民也有外出务工的。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年6月，向阳里村入选「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1]
