梅田村是飞鸾镇下辖的行政村，村委会设在周厝村，在镇区东北约3.5千米处。村名的来历：旧称「梅溪」，南宋《三山志》中写作「梅花」；先民王、郑、周、林、廖五姓曾共建梅溪宫，村前又有塘田，遂称梅田。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年组建大队，1984年改设村委会。全村共9个自然村，其中观后为畲族村。其余的有周厝里和王厝里，下郑与上郑，塘田与林厝里，洋里和末仔。[1]

文物与古迹[edit]

村域内保存树龄200年以上的榕树2株、樟树1株，以及100年以上历史的祠堂2座。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2022年10月，省农业农村厅把梅田村列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
