利洋村位于洋中镇西南，距镇中心约7公里，平均海拔630米，村子东与溪源村接壤。村名原为“李洋”，因早年李姓定居而得名。[1]

早年李姓人家在此定居，村前有一片田洋，故称李洋，后演变为利洋。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1958年村里组建生产大队，1984年改设村民委员会。村辖利洋、洋尾、院坪、外黄厝里、内黄厝里五个自然村。村民以詹、杨、余三姓居多。[1]
地理环境与产业[edit]
村内林地面积较大，竹林成片，另有集体茶园和梨园。村民主要以种植毛竹、水稻、草莓育苗和蔬菜为生。村中的展旗峰草场是当地的天然草场。[1]
