上洋村位于霍童镇西南部，在镇区西南约23公里处，海拔740米，属革命老区基点行政村。[2]

村名来自村中一大片田洋，这片田洋的各段分别叫仓里、墩头、溪坂头和宫桥头。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

早年属梅坑小公社；1958年设大队，之后与坑头村并为上坑大队，1964年析出独立，1984年转为村委会。[1]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月授予上洋村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2022年12月，省绿化委员会将其认定为「2022年福建省森林村庄」。[1]

据蕉城区人民政府2022年12月发布的村情页，村内分9个村民小组，共223户785人；自然村有石仓、墩头、上白岩、前林坂四个，山林面积20197亩。[2]
