官坑村位于溪南镇西北部，村部距镇政府12公里。全村是溪南镇人口最多的村。[1]

地名[edit]

明、清时代建村。村处山涧长谷之中，原名「长坑」，也称「高兴」。清代村中考得功名、在外为官者较多，于是改为今名。[1]

概况[edit]

全村分为7个自然村，设15个村民小组，有716户，人口1800人。[1] 村庄总面积17平方公里，其中耕地1860亩（水田1410亩），山地38000多亩。[2] 村中水果园1000多亩，毛竹林亦有1000多亩，另种水仙茶250亩。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

村中陈、张、王、刘、黄五姓八个支派繁衍生息，村史据称有800多年。[2] 1934年称官坑保，最初隶溪南（第三）区，中间经郎车联保、荣涂乡，后归溪南镇。[1] 1949年初为溪南镇的官坑村，1950年代初属第五区的郎车乡。1954年另设官坑乡；1958年改称官坑大队，先归溪南公社，后隶郎车公社；1964年回并溪南公社。1984年政社分开后称官坑村，隶溪南乡；1989年，乡改为镇，仍属溪南镇。[1]

文化[edit]

村中设有「书香众」，留有石龙旗杆的遗迹，村民重视教育。[2]
