村子地形平缓，几条小溪从村中缓缓流过，最终注入双洋溪，村名因此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1934年，此地是中南城联保下的徐溪保，隶宁洋县。1949年以后，徐溪一带先归宁洋县第一区，后设徐溪乡。[1]
1956年宁洋县撤销，并入漳平县双洋区徐溪乡。1957年撤区并乡后，划入双洋督导片。1958年改属东风公社，称徐溪大队；1961年隶双洋公社；1984年复称徐溪村；1989年双洋乡改镇后称双洋镇徐溪村。[1]
