新桥村位于新桥镇的中心地带，属于镇中心区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名古称「流水桥」。明代在此新建一座带顶盖的亭式桥，通往东坑村，村名遂改为今称。[1]

1934年时为新桥保，归第四区（新桥）管辖；1949年初起称新桥村。1958年改为新桥公社下的新桥大队；1984年体制改革后，改称新桥镇下辖的新桥村。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，省爱卫办将新桥村命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。2024年6月，村被认定为「2024年漳平市一村一品专业村」（食用菌）。2026年1月，福建省确定其为「福建省2026年度乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
