塘前村是连城县塘前乡的行政村，也是乡政府所在地，为全乡第一大行政村，村落面积13.2平方公里。村内辖塘前、陈坊坑两个自然村，主村在塘前自然村。村中林地广，森林覆盖率在九成以上，以荷花为主题的乡村旅游也逐步发展起来。[1][2][4]
历史沿革[edit]
塘前村所在地1959年自清流县划归连城县，1960年并入超美公社，次年又从中划出，设为塘前公社下的塘前大队。1984年改为塘前村委会，沿用至今。[2]
村名来自村中原有的二十八口池塘。明清时期池塘中种有荷花，后来当地人把塘改作耕地，因土质不宜，池塘多被废弃。[1][3]
地理环境[edit]
村内林地约1.66万亩，耕地在1900亩以上，塘前溪自村中穿过。[2]
村内有艳林寺、石槽坑瀑布，以及以荷花为主题的荷韵新塘主题公园等自然景观。[1][3]
人口民族[edit]
县政府网站乡镇介绍所载，户籍人口1535人，共475户，分为16个村民小组。连同外来流动人口在内，总人口为1580人。[1]
文化[edit]
2018年，以荷韵新塘为主要项目的「豸下莲乡」被评为3A级景区，同年村庄被评为第十三届市级文明村。2021年，塘前村获第十四届文明村、福建省三星级旅游村和福建省金牌旅游村称号，并于同年11月被命名为福建省卫生村。[1][2]
2024年5月，塘前村列为第四批高级版「绿盈乡村」；2025年3月，入选首批省级乡村振兴示范村；2025年5月，被授予第七届「全国文明村」。[1][2]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内的文物古迹包括有积楼（古堡）、贻谷堂和宝鉴堂，县政府网站称三者为连城县第八批文物保护单位。[1]
