桃溪村是桃溪镇的集镇所在地，省道205线贯穿村部，距武平县城44公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据传早先此地有修、马等姓人家居住，因地形为盆地，取名“桃地”，寓意后代繁盛如桃花。清代有一位商人把“桃地”改称“桃溪”，沿用至今。[1]

民国时期此地分设桃地一保与二保，归桃溪区、桃溪乡管辖。1956年划入武北区。公社化后，本村组成桃溪大队，归桃溪公社。1984年设立村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

村民外出务工的人数较多，据称超过全村人口的一半，多在不锈钢行业。留在村中的村民以种植茶叶、水稻、烟草为主。[1]

文化[edit]

2009年，桃溪村被评为县级文明村。2021年6月，村子入选「福建省第四批省级传统村落」名单。2024年11月，被认定为「2024年度福建省一村一品专业村」（绿茶）。[1]
