上墩村位于岩前镇东部，东邻山林，西接国道205线。[1]

地名由来[edit]

民国时期，村中有黎、胡二姓居住，称黎坊，属岩前里。后来合并墩背、官上两地，各取一字，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国初年，这里是岩前区的黎坊。推行保甲制度后，此地先分为上村、墩背、灌塘三保，之后又缩为墩背与官上两保，归岩前镇。建国后改名上墩村，1984年设上墩村委会，隶属岩前镇。[1]

自然环境[edit]

村境属中、矮丘陵，山地海拔约360米。村内下辖7个自然村，主要农产品有甜玉米、李子、大豆、烤烟与马铃薯。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2023年1月，被命名为「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]
