水埔村位于湖洋镇东北部，地处汀江两岸，县通临河线穿村而过，距县城约8公里。村落沿河呈长方形分布。村名的来历与此地到官庄的路程有关：从上杭步行往官庄，至此约十华里，俗称一埔路。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

此地在民国时为水埔保。解放后不久成立水埔村农会，1951年并入寨背乡管辖，1956年建起水埔高级社。1958年改为湖洋公社水埔大队，1961年归寨背公社，1965年复归湖洋公社，名称未变。[2][4]

1968年成立革领组，1980年原大队划分为两处，水埔另设管委会大队；1984年改为湖洋乡水埔村民委员会，2013年改属湖洋镇。[2][4]

村下辖坝尾、车头岗、岗背塘、黄泥圳、水埔塘五个自然村，共14个村民小组，村委会驻地在岗背塘自然村。[2]

人口与耕地[edit]

据博雅地名网，全村现有1158人、265户，设14个村民小组，耕地715亩，山林1166亩，统计年份未注明。[1]

荣誉[edit]

省农业农村厅于2022年10月把水埔村列为第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇。[1]

2023年1月，水埔村获「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」称号；2024年1月，又获「2023年度」同名称号。[1]

2024年6月，水埔村入选福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村名单。[1]
