旧县镇是福建省龙岩市上杭县下辖的镇，位于县城北面，离县城约22公里。镇域东面与蛟洋、白砂相邻，南面接临城与湖洋，西边连着才溪，北边与南阳相接。[1]

全镇辖区面积160.1平方千米，辖20个行政村。旧县河自境内穿过，永武高速、205国道以及旧白、旧矶两条公路也经过镇域。[1][2]

镇名来自一段县治的历史：宋代上杭县治曾设在今全坊村一带的语口市，此地因而被称为旧县。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时期这一带属鳖沙里，明清时期归白砂里，梅溪、水东等村所在的地方另属平安里。[3]

土地革命时期，河西村的宫厂里设过上杭县苏维埃，周边又分设了若干乡苏维埃。1949年解放初，此地并为旧县区，区内有11个行政村。[3]

1956年并区并乡后，本地归才溪区管辖，下设五个乡。1958年公社化后设旧县公社，1961年分为新坊、旧县、梅溪三个公社。1963年，福村大队由蛟洋划入旧县公社。1965年，梅溪公社所属的谷坑、水东、迳美三地并入旧县公社。[3]

1966年改称红岩公社，1971年复称旧县公社，1984年改为旧县乡，2012年改称旧县镇。2014年，河东村的新康一片划出，另设新康村民委员会，归旧县镇管辖。[3][8]

地理环境[edit]

镇域内山地较多，旧县河贯穿全境，支流众多。全镇山林合计20.5万亩，森林覆盖率为84%；其中生态公益林有10多万亩，木材储量39万立方米。[1][2]

河流水能的理论蕴藏量为4.5万千瓦，能加以开发的部分在4万千瓦以上。[1][2]

境内探明的矿种有40多种，其中有金、铜、铁、锰、稀土、明矾与石灰石。紫金矿业集团股份有限公司的金铜矿位于镇内。[1][2]

人口民族[edit]

全镇共8427户，29741人。[1]

据博雅地名网所载，镇内的谷坑村是唯一的畲族村，村中蓝、钟姓畲族村民占45%。[7]

镇内盛产竹笋、土纸，溪鱼、红菇、豆腐等土特产。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

「旧县区苏维埃政府旧址（敦和堂）」位于河西村，俗称「桅杆屋」，为上杭县文物保护单位。建筑清雍正二年（1724年）动工，耗时20多年建成；清同治三年（1864年）遭太平军烧毁后重建，占地26000多平方米，保存至今。[5]

1929年以后，这座建筑先后用作中央苏区基层政权的办公场所，并在较长时期内充当中央苏区红色交通线上的一处交通站。[5]

「红色交通线接头点旧址（通济庵）」位于新坊村，同为上杭县文物保护单位。庵为清嘉庆五年（1800年）所建，咸丰元年（1851年）重修，占地约400平方米。该庵在1931至1934年间是中央红色交通线上的接头点。[6]

  • 2020年12月，福建省爱卫办授予旧县镇「福建省卫生乡镇」称号。[4]
  • 2021年1月，旧县镇上榜「2020年度龙岩市平安乡镇（街道）」名单。[4]
  • 2023年1月，旧县镇被确定为「2022年度龙岩市平安乡镇（街道）」。[4]
