刘坑村位于濯田镇南部，距集镇约12公里，据博雅地名网所载，是新中国首任空军司令员刘亚楼的祖籍发源地。[2]
地名由来[edit]
据说河田蔡坊的一名刘姓少年来村中为陈姓人家放牛，长大后在此定居，村子随之兴盛。陈、廖两姓后来迁走，村名便改作刘屋坑，简称刘坑。[1]
概况[edit]
2013年，村民的主要收入来自烤烟、槟榔芋种植和外出务工。全村设2个自然村、7个村民小组。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
1950年1月，土改工作队入驻，刘坑成立农会分会，属长汀首批土改村之一，同年4月已分田到户。1951年，改归一个乡，乡址就在刘坑。1959年3月，刘坑并入邻近的管理区，与磜头合为刘屋坑大队。1960年，刘坑与邻近一村重组为磜头大队，1961年又分开。1987年3月，刘坑独立为行政村。[3]
