巷头村位于濯田集镇东南端，是集镇六村之一，东以濯田河为界，西与下洋村相邻。[1]
地名由来[edit]
相传此地旧名林坊，清康熙年间，集镇的上、中、下、尾各方位都已有了称呼，只缺一个「头」字，于是改名巷头。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年11月后改设林田村，巷头为其中一部分。1960年，巷头归濯田大队，村中还设有公社农场。1984年10月，巷头大队更名为巷头村。[1]
巷头村以种植烤烟为主，有烤烟大村之称。[1]
