林田村是童坊镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的西南角，距镇政府约5公里，县道南馆公路贯通全村。村名因山林茂密、土地肥沃而得。[1][2]

人口与地理[edit]

共438户、1663人，设12个村民小组（据博雅地名网，年份未注）。村内耕地1550亩，山林18800亩（公益林1720亩），另有毛竹5200余亩。[1][2]

经济[edit]

留守的妇女与老人在田地里种烤烟300余亩，又种水稻1000余亩；竹林2000余亩被垦复，承包经营的竹林3000余亩，村中办有三个养猪场。自改革开放起，外出东莞、深圳的村民共988人，有人办厂，有人经商或务工。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初，村地归童坊区的林田乡所管。1957年撤区并乡，林田乡仍然保留。1958年公社化后隶属童坊公社，设林田大队。1984年改为林田村委会。[1]

基础设施[edit]

村中有一座长18米、宽3米的水口桥，全村已建成石拱桥、水泥桥共28座。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2022年10月，林田村经省农业农村厅认定，成为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
