红湖村距县城约3公里，属城郊村。[1]

村名原作乌泥坪，1968年因境内有莲花水库而改名红湖。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1956年，村中组织起联合、新民、河平三个高级社，后合并为联合大队。公社化后几经并改，1966年划为红湖大队，1984年起设红湖村民委员会。[1]

文化[edit]

2025年11月，红湖村被认定为「福建省第二批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1]

2024年1月，红湖村被命名为2023年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」。[1]
