陈东村是福建省龙岩市永定区陈东乡下辖的行政村，也是乡政府驻地所在的村。村名的来历是：此地位于永定境内的东方，陈姓始居于此，故名。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年前，本村一带属筀东乡上村保，其所辖的陂头甲、大路背、山塘下等自然村，如今都并入陈东大队。[1][3]

1950年代初，陈东一度作为乡一级的名称使用，乡址设在福裕楼，乡政府则设在陂头甲村。1958年公社化后，本村与古竹、岐岭一并组成红旗人民公社，下设陈东大队；其后数度调整隶属，1993年陈东从岐岭分出设乡，本村遂成为陈东乡人民政府驻地。[1][3]

本村分上村片与桥东片，由半接楼、三塘下、洋湖坑、桥河队、洋竹下、任背、陂头甲等7个自然村组成。集镇位于本村，319省道「福三线」从村中穿过，集镇每逢农历四、九为墟日。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办将「2021年福建省卫生村」称号授予本村。2024年1月，本村被命名为2023年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」；2023年1月，又被命名为2022年度同一称号。[1]
