陈东乡是福建省龙岩市永定区下辖的乡，乡政府驻陈东村。明清时此地属金丰里，1993年自岐岭乡析出设立。乡内居民属汉族，讲客家方言。[1][3]

乡政府网站先后发布两份概况：2020年的乡镇介绍称全乡辖10个行政村、139个村民小组，面积75.2平方千米；2026年6月的乡镇概况则称下辖19个行政村，面积约78平方千米，人口约2.9万人。两说并存，此处分别注明年份。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时，此地属金丰里，民国时称筀东乡。中华人民共和国成立后先属第二区，即下洋区。[1]

1958年，此地并入岐东乡与岐东人民公社；两年后改隶下洋公社，1961年另设陈东公社。1970年起并入岐岭，1984年仍归岐岭乡管辖。[1]

1993年，陈东从岐岭乡分出，设立陈东乡，乡政府设于陈东村。[3][4]

博雅地名网所载2000年的数字为：全乡3171户、12822人，有139个村民小组，辖区面积68.4平方千米。[4]

据百度百科，2019年末的户籍人口数为13361人。[5]

2026年的乡镇概况称，全乡总面积约78平方千米，人口约2.9万人，下辖19个行政村。其行政村数与2020年的10个不一致，两种说法并存，未作取舍。[2]

革命历史[edit]

陈东是革命老区。乡内有革命烈士71人，出过卢肇西、卢其中等革命先烈，还有卢克、熊奎两位将军。[1]

1928年6月，永定党组织在陈东召开全县党员代表会议，决定举行武装暴动。暴动队伍随后在陈东广圣庙与卢肇西等人领导的队伍会合，人数达300余人。[6]

名胜古迹[edit]

金丰暴动旧址广圣庙位于城东村境内，始建于明代，清以后多次重修。旧址朝向西北、面对东南，建筑面积合420平方米；内部分前厅和后厅，两边各有厢房。1928年的武装暴动在此会合，旧址于2018年被公布为第九批福建省级文物保护单位。[6]

民俗[edit]

陈东乡的「四月八」是流传数百年的民俗活动，每年农历四月初七至初九举行，历时三天。活动以迎神游村为主，沿途各村设坛祭祀，初九开斋时以肉食祭奉。[1]

经济[edit]

1992年，陈东被定为福建省制种基地。[4]

2026年的乡镇概况称，本乡产业以红柿、烤烟与养猪为大宗，另有葡萄和古龙杨梅等水果正在拓展。[2]

陈东是侨乡：博雅地名网的资料把海外侨胞估作两万人上下，年份在2000年前后。九十年代，侨胞出资的项目包括学校、道路和桥梁，共捐资160余万元。[4]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，陈东乡入选2023年度龙岩市「平安乡镇（街道）」名单；2023年1月，又在2022年度的同一名单中列入。[3]
