蛟塘村是古竹乡下辖的行政村，位于乡境东部，北面与古竹村、大德村相接，东南与高头乡相邻，西面与湖坑镇洪坑村交界。全村共有4个自然村。[1]

地名[edit]

此地介于古竹与高头之间，原因地势低，无出水之处，雨水积成池塘。后人开凿出水口，在此建村，遂名蛟塘。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年设古竹乡蛟塘村民委员会，沿用至今。1970年高头公社并入古竹公社，1958年设古竹人民公社，1957年归古竹乡。民国时期此地称古竹联保，隶属上金区与第三区，并称高竹乡、上金乡；明清时期属金丰里。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年1月，本村获评2022年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」。2024年1月公布的2023年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」评选中，本村亦在列。2026年6月，本村被确认为龙岩市永定区2023年区级「一村一品」专业村。[1]
