瑶下村是古竹乡下辖的行政村，位于乡境西南部，与陈东乡、湖坑镇交界，距乡政府约1.5千米，县道陈东、高头线从村旁经过。[1]
地名[edit]
早年此处有烧瓷的窑窟，称为窑下。后因方言读音相近，人们写作瑶下。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1984年起设古竹乡瑶下村民委员会，沿用至今。1960年称瑶下大队；1958年公社化时组建生产合作社，隶属古竹公社。1949年前属瑶下保，1949年后设立瑶下农会。[1]
经济[edit]
村民以烤烟、红柿、水稻、西瓜为主要种植物，另有人外出务工经商。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2020年12月，本村入选「2020年福建省森林村庄」名单。福建省爱卫办于2021年11月授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。福建省农业农村厅于2022年10月认定本村为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。2023年12月，本村列入龙岩市2023年度「乡村振兴示范村镇」名单。2024年2月，本村被确定为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」创建对象。[1]
