古竹村是古竹乡下辖的行政村，属乡中心区，乡人民政府驻地在本村。全村辖井头、塘仔、井隆、庵背、杨家寨5个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年设古竹乡古竹村民委员会，沿用至今。1970年高头公社并入古竹公社，1958年设古竹人民公社，1957年称古竹乡。更早的民国时期，此地为古竹联保，后称高竹乡、上金乡，并先后归上金区与第三区；明清时期隶金丰里。1949年后曾分属南溪区、上金区与第三区。[1]

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月授予古竹村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。2023年1月公布的是2022年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」评选结果，2024年1月公布的为2023年度。[1]
