西联村处在通往永定城区的集镇路口，后方是王寿山，前方临着龙湖的中村码头；村子是棉花滩水电站建设时安置的移民村。[1]

村名来自人民公社时期的合并：西山、河口、龙骨石、水香坑被并为一个大队，于是取名西联。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放后此地隶属永定第九区中山乡。1962年，西联与五坑合并组成五联大队；1981年春，此地又分出西联大队，1984年改称洪山乡西联村民委员会，2021年6月改为洪山镇西联村民委员会。[1]

2022年10月，省农业农村厅把西联村列为第二批「福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
