虎岗镇位于福建省龙岩市永定区西北部，处在永定、上杭、新罗三个县区交界处，下辖6个行政村。1987年自高陂乡划出设虎岗乡，2015年3月撤乡设镇。[1]

镇域北高南低，由虎岗、灌洋两片盆地组成，镇内的灌洋赤岩头海拔1547米，是全区的制高点。1930年12月至1931年8月间，40余个党政军机关先后迁驻于此，当地因而被称为「小红都」。[1][6]

历史沿革[edit]

此地原称补缸，明清至民国初年属太平里。清道光辛卯年间（1831年），乡人林连章中举后，以境内五座山冈形似老虎为由，请求改名「虎冈」，1935年才改作「虎岗」。[2]

1935年此地设虎岗联保，其后几经改隶，1947年属高陂乡。1949年后先称虎岗村，此后陆续改为虎岗乡、虎岗管理区和虎岗大队；1961年设虎岗公社，后于1970年并入高陂公社；1984年重设乡镇建制时，此地仍归高陂乡管辖。[3]

1987年7月，虎东、虎西、虎北、龙溪、汉洋五村自高陂乡析出，组成虎岗乡。城下村其后自虎北村分出。2015年3月，撤乡设镇，即今之虎岗镇。[1][3]

1929年8月，毛泽东参加闽西「一大」后到虎岗，与当地干部一道指导革命斗争。[4]

1930年12月，中共闽西特委与闽西苏维埃政府迁驻虎岗。此后至1931年8月，工农银行、军区司令部、闽粤赣边区特委与闽西政治保卫处等机关相继进驻，使虎岗成为闽西苏区的中枢。据区政府介绍，毛泽东、周恩来、邓小平、张鼎丞等革命家都曾在此领导斗争。[1][6]

2024年1月，虎岗镇获评2023年度龙岩市「平安乡镇（街道）」，又获评2023年福建省卫生乡镇。[2]

地理环境[edit]

虎岗镇与上杭、新罗相接，镇域内的河流分属永定河与黄潭河两个水系。集镇距龙岩市区40公里，距永定城区51公里，距高陂约12公里。茫荡洋是自然风景区，最高处海拔1447.2米；笔架山海拔1274米。[1]

灌洋水库于1990年建成，库容约2224万立方米，是永定区第二大水库，其发电站装机总容量8000多千瓦。全镇年平均气温约18摄氏度，年降雨量约1643毫米，无霜期约10个月。[1]

人口民族[edit]

截至2026年5月11日，户籍登记人口为16389人；实际居住的常住人口则为9794人。全镇共有村民小组126个。[1]

2000年，当时的虎岗乡有4076户、15600人，其中革命基点村4个。[4]

经济[edit]

镇内以农业为主，形成了芙蓉李、高山茶、反季节蔬菜和烤烟四大农业产业。[1]

境内矿产有石灰岩、煤、铝、铁、锰、铜和粉石英等。[4]

文化[edit]

2000年，当时的虎岗乡设有初中1所、小学12所，另有卫生院1所。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

据区政府材料，全镇有不可移动革命文物20处。列入省级文物保护单位的有「毛泽东旧居（晏田祠）」「中共闽粤赣边特委旧址（杨公堂）」「中央红色交通线闽西交通大站旧址（晏田祠）」等，县级文物保护单位另有十余处。各处所在的村见各村条目。[1][5]

据区政府介绍，虎岗设有交通大站，它是中央红色交通线在内陆的仅有一处，对外以「闽西工农通讯社」的名义活动。[1][7]
