东溪村位于城郊镇东部，处在永定县城东门一带，2007年纳入县城区规划。[1]

村名的由来与县城东门的溪流有关，村子就位于这条溪的两岸一带。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

东溪村所在地原属八坊保，建国后曾设东联乡，之后又改设东溪乡。公社年代归城关公社，村名为东溪大队；此后，1984年初转入城郊公社，同年四月再归城郊乡，并定名东溪村民委员会。[1]

2021年11月，村子获得「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。2024年1月，村子被列入「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」名单。[1]

地理环境[edit]

林地5269亩、耕地226亩，全村总面积6305亩；森林覆盖率为80%。[1]

村内有箭滩温泉，水温在48至56度之间，水质清澈。经检测，其中氟、硅、矿三类指标都符合「医疗保健水」的要求。[1]

村中有三级天然瀑布，可供游览休闲。[1]
