中坑村位于城郊镇东部，系革命基点村，距永定县城约6公里。[1]

1984年设立村民委员会时，村子沿用了当地中坑片的地名作为村名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前这里属城关镇的八坊保；解放后设立中坑农会。1958年，它归城关公社，村名为中坑大队。进入1984年，此地先划入城郊公社（1月），当年4月又改为城郊乡辖，并设中坑村民委员会。[1]

2021年11月，中坑村被福建省爱国卫生部门命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。2024年1月，村子被列入「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」名单。2025年7月，中坑村被确认为「龙岩市永定区2025年区级一村一品专业村」，产业为中医康养。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域的耕地为218亩，林地为11545亩，全村总面积则是12171亩。村内有7个自然村，分为6个村民小组。[1]

龙梅铁路与县道抚石线从村中穿过，对外交通较为方便。[1]

经济[edit]

村里的特色产业是观光农业，并发展「农家乐」形式的休闲度假。[1]
