和兴村位于高陂镇，村名取“和阄”之意，寄望众姓团结和气、兴旺发达，村内有日三堂旧址，附近有高陂桥[1][2]。

地名由来[edit]

据传民国时期，高陂全境分作八阄，和兴村抽中“和阄”，于是取众姓和气、兴旺之意，定名为和兴[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期此地属和平乡，1949年后属第六区忠和乡。1958年设和兴管理区，1961年改为和兴大队，1984年改设和兴村民委员会，沿用至今[1]。

革命旧址[edit]

「中共和兴支部暨乡苏维埃政府旧址」俗称日三堂，年代为1927至1937年。旧址位于田段，建于明末崇祯年间（1628-1644年）[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

高陂桥在和兴村附近，原叫深渡桥。1756年，进士王见川募资将其改建为单孔石拱桥，全长60米，宽7.4米[2]。

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，和兴村被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」[1]。
