上南村位于湖雷镇东部，东临增瑞村，北临上湖溪，抚石线穿村而过。据博雅地名网所载，本村曾诞生福建省第一个农村党支部。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村址在上湖雷片区南侧，村名由此而来。[3]

革命历史[edit]

1926年夏，阮山、林心尧在村中万源楼建立中共永定支部。[2]

中共永定支部旧址是一座名为“万源楼”的民居，2009年被列为省级文物保护单位。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

磜子头一带的观音庵形如田螺，建于明代，清末曾重修，地势居高。[1]

人物[edit]

阮山（1888～1934年）是中共永定支部的创建者之一，原名德宽，毕业于福建法政专门学校，后在闽西开展革命工作。[2][3]

陈忠梅是中华人民共和国的将军，出身上南村。[1]

文化[edit]

上南村于2021年11月获评「2021年福建省卫生村」，由省爱卫办确定。上南村在2022年10月入选第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇名单。[3]
