大东村位于大池镇东部，东接小池镇，村中有小溪穿过，是一个革命基点村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村子地处山坑之间，取“东”字为名，初称大东坑，后简化为大东村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村中原有石头角、邦尾、水口等称呼。1947年12月，居住在石头角土楼的吴钦瑞、吴全旺等人迁到邦尾暂住。[1]

1961年单独设立大队，1984年成立大东村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

村民利用自留山和开荒地种植毛竹，并产出铁观音茶。[2]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2021年4月，本村获评「2020年度福建省乡村振兴实绩突出村」。[1]
  • 2021年11月，本村获「2021年福建省卫生村」命名（福建省爱卫办）。[1]
