赤坑村位于镇域边缘，距镇政府约3千米；村东侧为南阳村，南侧为倒流水村，西侧与北洋村相接。[1]

地名由来[edit]

早先此地盛产茶叶，原称茶坑。因「茶」与「赤」同音，改称赤坑。[1]

建设与荣誉[edit]

2012年起，村庄开始进行新村建设。[1]

赤坑村于2021年11月获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
