上洋村地势平坦，村名中的「洋」指平坦的田洋。村庄位于蒋邦溪上游，故称上洋。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

旧属紫岗乡，解放初隶东红区蒋邦村；此后数次改属区乡，1957年撤区并乡后归红坊乡。[1]

1958年归红坊公社，编入蒋邦大队；此后经历改名与分设，1984年设红坊乡上洋村委会。[1]

上洋村于2021年11月获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
