小竹村位于房道镇政府以西约6公里，村名来自满山遍野生长的小丛竹。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清末民初，小竹曾是乡公所所在地，是周边地区的政治、文化和商贸中心。[2]

村子旧时逢农历五、十赶墟，解放后改为逢二、七赶墟。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

小竹村大礼堂列入建瓯市第八批历史建筑名录，地址为杏下92-2号。[3]
