新桥村是吉阳镇东部的行政村，距集镇约5公里，辖4个自然村。村子依托浦南高速互通口的交通优势发展。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

建村时在村尾新建了一座木桥，村因此名新桥。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新桥原是1949年丰乐五区的一个乡；1958年并入丰乐公社成为新桥大队，1960年改隶吉阳公社，1984年改用现名。[1]

荣誉[edit]

「2021年度福建省森林村庄」称号于2021年12月授予新桥村。2024年2月，新桥村进入「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」创建名单。[1]
