历史沿革[edit]
元至大四年（1311年）此地设巡检镇，明洪武初改设巡检司，明嘉靖时称星村市，清代曾在此设分县。[1]
民国时期设镇。第二次国内革命战争时期，这里成立过区、乡两级苏维埃政府；田头自然村曾是建阳县委所在地，程墩和桐木等地有多处革命基点村，属革命老区。[2]
民国29年（1940年）星村一带属崇安县第四区。1941年初，原黎源乡靠近建阳长坪的施家坪、源头一带约288亩土地改属建阳。[1][4]
1951年划入第二区。红旗公社于1958年9月设立，1960年起以星村为名改称星村公社，1984年改设星村乡，1985年8月撤乡设镇。[1][2][4]

百度百科给出的户籍人口数为26590人，统计时点为2019年末。[3]
关于面积，百度百科载679.77平方千米，博雅地名网载686.7平方千米，两者均未注明年份。[1][3]
经济[edit]
星村镇是武夷山市重要的粮食、林业和茶果产区。农作物以水稻、大豆、地瓜和花生为主，还产白术、元胡、厚朴等药材，以及香菇、笋干和柑桔等土特产。[2]
茶叶是镇里的传统产业。清代以来茶商聚集于此，星村是武夷岩茶的集散地。镇辖桐木村所产的正山小种红茶，早在17世纪便销往西欧；乌龙茶珍种肉桂也出自本镇。[2][8]
名胜古迹[edit]
龙川大峡谷在武夷山自然保护区之内，是以丹霞地貌为基底的自然景区，峡谷中分布有千层瀑、欢乐瀑、三叠瀑等十余处瀑布群，属武夷山国家公园范围。[7]
遇林亭窑址位于燕子窠自然村与白岩自然村的交界处，是宋元时期以黑釉瓷为主的重要民间窑场。窑址于20世纪50年代被发现，1961年公布为福建省第一批省级文物保护单位，2006年公布为全国重点文物保护单位，1998年至2000年曾进行过考古发掘。[5][6]
福建与江西之间的省界关口桐木关，属武夷山八大雄关之一，坐落于桐木村境内。该区域1979年划入武夷山国家级自然保护区。[8]
镇内还有三处清代的县级文物保护单位：黎新村的星村朱氏家祠，前兰村的前兰三眼桥，以及巨口村的巨口石拱桥。[9][10][11]
荣誉[edit]
2023年11月，星村镇被认定为「第三批全国乡村治理示范乡镇」；2025年3月，获命名为「第七届全国文明村镇」，并被认定为「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范乡镇」。[1]
2023年10月，星村镇被确定为「2023年福建省级森林康养小镇」；2023年3月，农业农村部推介该镇为「2022年全国乡村特色产业产值超十亿元镇」（茶叶）。[1]
2022年10月，该镇获评「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2021年10月，入选「2021年全国乡村特色产业十亿元镇」；2021年12月，列为「福建省第二批高级版绿盈乡村（乡镇）」。[1]
