村名寄托了村民期盼美好富裕生活的心愿。[1]
自然村[edit]

历史沿革[edit]
民国33年（1944年），此地设富美保，归星溪镇领导。1969年，保改为富美大队，隶属城关公社；1984年，大队转为富美行政村，并建立村民委员会。[1]
民国时期此地称武溪村，富美行政驻地设在林屯村。[2]
文物[edit]
朱柽墓在林屯自然村，为宋代遗存，县级文保对象。[1]
富美程夫人墓在村境内，年代可追溯至宋代，县里将其列为县级文保单位。[1]
产业[edit]
1960年代至1970年代，村民借助山地与茶园种植西瓜；1980年后随农业结构调整，种植面积扩大。快懂百科称其西瓜以「富美西瓜」为标识。[2]
2020年12月，富美村入选「2019年度福建省一村一品示范村」名单，产品为西瓜。[1]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办将富美村列为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
