下店村位于闽北山区，东与溪畔村交界，西与登山村接壤，北与上店村相邻，南与花桥乡为邻，辖岩下、花婆甲、龙塘后、大源弄、下店五个自然村。村内的下店水尾桥为县级文物保护单位。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历与民国初年的布局有关：祖墩四周筑起土墙、土堡和坊门，坊门口一带开设店铺，坊门以下的地段于是称为下店。[1]

宋代已有村落，那时归崇仁乡庆原里十五都。1940年此地分设为两保；1958年划入东风公社祖墩大队；1961年改为祖墩公社下店大队；1984年恢复乡制，大队随即改为村。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

下店水尾桥架在村子西南方向约100米处的小溪上，属清代单孔石拱桥，桥面约14.3米长、4.3米宽，为县级文物保护单位。[1]

经济[edit]

农民收入主要靠种植烤烟和水稻等作物。[1]

文化[edit]

村子于2015年10月列入福建省第一批省级传统村落名单；2021年11月，省爱卫部门将其列为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2025年3月，经认定，下店村成为「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
