新铺村位于郑墩镇西南部，距镇中心六公里，东与张屯村相接，西与东平镇前逢村相连，北与南坑村相邻。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

相传明朝陈建山从建瓯玉山迁来拓垦，搭起山铺居住，村名初为山铺；后重建新房，改称新铺。[1]

村落始于清雍正四年（1726年）。1941年，村属梅口乡，为第二区新铺保。1952年划为第五区新铺乡，归郑墩区管辖。[1]

1960年设郑墩公社新铺大队，1962年改称新铺小公社，1966年又改回郑墩公社新铺大队。1984年10月，大队改为村。[1]

村域与生计[edit]

全村辖九个村民小组、六个自然村，共738户，总人口2764人，党员67人。耕地面积2921.7亩，水田占其中2826.2亩；林地15816.1亩。上述数字为博雅地名网所载，未注明年份。[1][2]

村中收入来源以竹笋、锥栗、粮食与山林为主，另有外出务工。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2023年10月，村入选2023年度南平市「绿盈乡村」中级版村庄名单。2024年度福建省「一村一品」专业村（茶叶）的认定则在2024年11月。[1]
