源头村是浦城县山下乡的行政村，林地面积远大于耕地。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期已属山下乡。1950年代这里归王口乡管辖，1958年划入临江公社；1962年析出源头大队，归山下公社；1984年改设源头村村民委员会，隶属山下乡。[1]

2020年11月，入选「2020年度南平市绿盈乡村中级版村庄」名单；2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名该村为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2021年12月，被确定为「福建省第二批高级版绿盈乡村」；2023年10月，入选「2023年福建省金牌旅游村」名单。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子东边与铁场村挨着，南面与石陂镇连接，西边与王柏村紧邻，北侧靠山下村。地域面积10.9平方公里，辖5个自然村、9个村民小组。[1]

经济[edit]

村内毛竹林有7500亩，林地总计13000亩，耕地1275亩。农林为主业，村内有竹产品加工厂，出产毛竹、笋干、灵芝、香菇、木耳和竹荪。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

林区内的生态涵养林超过2000亩，林中生长银杏、红豆杉等树种，并有白鹇、麂、山兔等野生保护动物。溪流穿过林区，在悬崖间形成阶梯式瀑布，直泻入龙潭。[1]
