古楼村位于浦城县西北部，是古楼乡的政治、经济与文化中心，乡政府即设于本村。全村辖9个自然村、16个村民小组。[1][2]

地名与旧称[edit]

旧时村内有“里村”之称：自村头至村尾，约有二十华里，“村头”“村尾”之名一直沿用至今。村东三公里的铸岭头一带，是闽江与九江两条水系的分水处。[1]

革命历史[edit]

古楼村属老区村，历史上曾是红军活动的根据地，也是由江西广丰一带进入福建的重要通道之一。土地革命时期，粟裕将军曾从广丰入闽，在村中住宿一晚，并在村内的「吴厝」召开会议，该处土墙上的革命标语至今尚存。[1]

全村耕地2350亩，山林22888亩，其中毛竹山9904亩。竹木是村中的主要收入来源；食用菌种植以香菇、竹荪、灵芝为主。[1]
