石村位于古楼乡北片的最北端，西面与江西省广丰县为界，北邻九牧镇中垄村，东面与仙阳镇山际村相接。全村土地面积33平方千米，辖3个自然村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村境内岩石较多，村名由此而来。另据村概况，旧时此地称村尾，北面的石坑居民点在确定行政村时并入村尾，两地各取一字，合成石村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

石村在民国时仍归古楼乡。解放初年（1951年）划入第六区古楼乡；1958年归永兴公社；1961年改隶古楼公社，设石村大队；1984年定为古楼乡石村村民委员会。石村是革命老区村，村民在解放战争期间参加了革命。[1][2]

自然环境与林业[edit]

稻田1226亩，山林面积约42404亩，毛竹山约占全村面积的三成以上，本村是古楼乡毛竹示范林村之一。[1]

交通、水利与产业[edit]

未修公路之前，竹木原料要靠水运运往江西。如今村子南可通县城，北可达浙江，西通江西，东通仙阳。村中有私人合资的水力发电站3座，合计装机容量为2900千瓦，另有蓄水水库2座、自来水池3个。村内有竹木加工、细木工板、旋切板和竹地板加工等企业。[1]
