万安乡是福建省南平市浦城县下辖的乡，位于县境中部。[1][2]乡境以水稻种植为主，万安村有新石器时代的石排下遗址。[2][4]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，本地名由来与万安桥有关：村落建在桥头，桥原名清游木桥，常被洪水冲毁，明成化二年（1466年）改用石料建桥，桥上建亭，更名万安桥。[2]

民国时期，乡境先属村头乡，后分属体仁镇和文通镇。[2]1949年归县第一区管辖，1951年由第二区设立万安乡；1956年改入富岭区，1958年并入城郊公社，1961年划到桥头公社，1963年又回城郊公社，1966年改归莲塘公社；1972年析出部分区域设水南公社，1977年改称村头公社，1981年定名万安公社，1984年改为现名的乡。[2]

人口民族[edit]

第七次全国人口普查登记的2020年11月1日零时常住人口为11342人，其中男性6127人、女性5215人；常住户数为4795户。[3]

经济[edit]

农业以水稻为主，兼产薏米、西瓜和茶叶，境内另有造纸、丝织、木竹加工一类的工厂。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

石排下遗址位于万安村，时代为新石器时代，是县级文物保护单位。[4]
