忠信镇位于浦城县西北部，在柘溪上游，距县城23公里。镇境北部与浙江省江山市、遂昌县接壤，东北与浙江省龙泉市相邻。^[1]^[13]^[14]

历史沿革[edit]

镇名的来历，据《延陵吴氏宗谱》所载：宋代有位在京城任官的吴广一，为人忠诚守信，行事平和，此地遂被古称平川；后获赐匾额「平川之地有忠信」，地名因此改作忠信。^[1]

宋至清，此地分属船山里、雁塘里、忠信里和永康里。民国时设上同、忠信、游村三个乡公所；1942年又设忠信乡。^[1]^[2]

1958年9月设红星人民公社，年末改为忠信人民公社。1961年7月，所辖区域分出湖山、游枫两个公社，与忠信公社并立；1965年12月游枫公社撤销，并入忠信公社。至1984年9月，才以乡的建制重新设立，1993年8月再改为镇。^[2]

2014年6月，忠信镇获评「2012—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」，授予机关为环境保护部；2020年12月，忠信镇获省级爱卫部门命名为「福建省卫生乡镇」；2021年2月，忠信镇列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。^[1]

地理环境[edit]

忠信镇处于浦城西北一隅，位于柘溪上游河段，与县城相隔23公里，有公路连接105国道。^[1]

镇内蕴藏铀矿。农业以水稻为主，兼产薏米、油菜、油茶和油桐。^[1]

人口民族[edit]

第七次全国人口普查中，全镇常住人口为16543人，其中男性8470人、女性8073人，常住人口性别比为104.92；全镇共有7880户，其中家庭户7808户、集体户72户。统计时点为2020年11月1日零时。^[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

「中共炭坞区委、区苏维埃政府旧址」在溪源村的炭坞自然村，原为华光庙，清代始建，为土木结构。1932年，叶全兴领导炭坞一带的开辟苏区工作，同年11月在此设立浦北第一区苏维埃。1934年12月，国民党军围攻炭坞苏区，部分游击队撤至毛洋、马迹一带。2018年，此旧址列入福建省第九批省级文物保护单位名单。^[4]

海溪关在海溪村境内，位于柘岭南侧的半山腰上，古称寨岭隘，扼守通往浙江江山、遂昌的古道，始建于汉代，历代均有修葺，为浦城县文物保护单位。关旁的石砌古道是附属文物。^[5]

毕岭关坐落在村桥村与官路乡李处村交界处的毕岭头垭口。关建于明朝，清乾隆三十一年（1766年）经过最后一次修缮。东西两关相距约30米，关内有毕岭亭与毕岭寺。2008年，此关纳入县级文物保护名录，属浦城县第五批。^[6]^[7]

福清山古道在坑尾村，年代为唐至宋，属县级文物。^[8]

村桥村的村桥村古民居与上同村的上同古民居都建于清代，两处均属县级文物。^[9]^[10]

应吉社红军标语在寨门村的毛洋头自然村，为近现代遗存，列为县级文物保护单位。^[11]

浦城土墩墓群在柘溪两岸都有分布，2013年3月被认定为「全国重点文物保护单位」。主体在仙阳镇管九村一带，忠信镇上同村和排栅村两侧的山丘上也有土墩。2005年至2006年，考古人员在管九村西侧发掘34个土墩，成果入选「2006年度全国十大考古新发现」；2009年，墓群被列入「福建省文物保护单位」。^[12]
