后洋村位于永兴镇西部，村子沿溪而建，驻地为后洋街。明末此地已开设四九墟期，曾是山区的贸易中心。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代此地为新兴六图之地，民国期间设后洋保，归新兴乡。1950年改称后洋乡，隶属县第五区。1956年划入永兴区，1958年9月转归永兴公社并设后洋大队。1984年为永兴乡的后洋村委会，1993年8月定为今名。[1]
